What we're doing

A weekend to build something cool with friends and a stupid amount of AI.

A low-pressure couple of days where we bring our laptops, stack up some pizza boxes, and ship a rough demo of literally anything. Use Cursor. Use Claude. Use Lovable, v0, Replit, ChatGPT. Vibe code. Glue things together with duct tape.

You don't have to be technical. If you've got an idea and need hands on keyboards, pitch Friday and we'll hook you up with a team. If you just want to hang and figure it out as you go, that's fine too.

The vibe

Seven rules. Loosely enforced.

RULE 01

Non-technical? No problem.

Vibe-coding is encouraged. Prompt your way through it. Read the AI's output with vibes only. Ship the thing.

// no shame zone
RULE 02

AI tools welcome.

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Lovable, Replit, v0, Bolt, whatever you've got a login for. Use it.

$ everything welcome
RULE 03

Solo or teams.

→ we form crews Fri 7:30
RULE 04

Tiny scope wins.

▶ shipped > perfect
RULE 05

No gatekeeping.

Designers, idea people, senior eng, total beginners, friends of friends. All of it. Come humble.

// everyone participates
RULE 06

Demo the rough version.

If it crashes mid-demo we clap louder. Broken prototypes, dumb outputs, half-done UIs are the fun part. Polish can wait.

$ npm run yolo
RULE 07

Pizza & drinks pooled.

We'll Venmo one person, order pizza, run out for drinks together (soda, seltzer, whatever we decide). Everyone throws in so it evens out. Put dietary stuff in the form so we don't skip anyone.

🍕 ≈ $10–20/person
Rough schedule

Friday after work together, Saturday night demos.

Loose plan. Sleep whenever. The only hard deadline is Saturday night demos; everything else we can move around if needed.

[ crash pad ]
Sleeping bags + blankets. Bring one so you're not borrowing someone's hoodie as a blanket at 3am. Pillow if you want it; pad or air mattress if you have one. We'll pick a corner away from chairs and cables. Overnight stuff always depends on host rules, so we'll confirm when we schedule the venue.

What we build

Anything demoable. That's the bar.

Apps, tiny games, extensions, joke tools, AI agents, music toys, useless automations, plus whatever joke keeps popping up in the group chat until someone actually builds it.

Let us know if you're in.

We'll text or email with the place, the date, and the Venmo for pizza and drinks once we've settled it.

// we'll ping you when we've locked the place + date.

FAQ

Straight answers for friends.

Do I need to know how to code? +
A: Nope. Plenty of us aren't coders. Someone pitches something dumb and the rest of us slap it together with AI. If you can explain what you want, you're in.
Can I use AI? +
A: Yeah, obviously. Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, Lovable, v0, Replit, Bolt, whatever gets you to a demo. That's basically the whole experiment for the weekend.
Do I need an idea? +
A: Nah. Float between groups, piggyback on the funniest pitch, rebuild someone else's idea worse on purpose. Nobody's keeping score.
How much does it cost? +
A: Only cost is the Venmo pool for pizza and drinks so it splits fairly (ballpark ~$10–20/person depending how many people come and how ridiculous we get about beverages).
What should I bring? +
A: Laptop, charger, headphones if you need them to focus, water bottle, ideas optional, leave the ego at home. Second monitor if you want to haul it. Sleeping bag or blanket if you're crashing overnight (pillow, pad, air mattress if you roll that way).
Do projects need to be serious? +
A: God no. Joke builds, broken stuff, demos that work once and die are exactly what we want. We'll hype whatever you bring.
